| Re: new boy on the block thanks for all the warm welcomes - aren't fishing people wonderful! just to clarify the search for the "magic rabbit" or "magic hare" fly, i do have a pattern that was passed on to me by a local fly-fishing guru some years ago -what i am keen to find now is some history on them. i know that some american guy called cairncross was involved at some point and that's about it. but for anyone who is interested the closest description that i can give is - it's a palmered variant of the shipman's buzzer, fished as an emerger it is absolutely deadly, particularly at the beginning of evening rises __________________ Regards to all fur and feather fanatics ..... | Re: new boy on the block Sorry Woolly, I spoke to my fly fishing friend at the weekend and well, he just looked at me like I was mad..... I took that to mean that he didn't know about the flys.... In fact he got really quite worried when I started asking him about magic rabbits! Sorry mate. Rich. |
