Beginners luck and lots of it PLEASE

Hi All

Not long moved down to Devon and have decided to convert from the rivers and ponds of Hampshire to that great big lake just South of Exmouth.
Hoping to try out a number of the areas hotspots (well warmish) over the next few months, starting with Exmouth Dock tomorrow. I know its a neap tide but I'll give it a bash between about 11am and 3ish. If anyone's around be great to meet up.
Cheers
Tony

Re: Beginners luck and lots of it PLEASE

Hi Guys

Thanks for all the welcomes and best wishes.

Went down to Exmouth doc today for 2 hours up and 1.5 down and didn't get a thing except a bit of a sun tan / wind burn.

Beautiful day and lovely spot except for playing dodge the line with the "Maid of Exmouth"

Met a friendly local (was that you pinguprogress) who advised best method from the docks is spinning as there is a big ledge about 20 yards out and then a drop of 5 metres or so, making it a great spot for losing tackle. Said you could catch Mackeral and Bass by spinning in the right conditions, bigger tides (not today) also Wrasse very close to the dock wall.

Anyway onwards and upwards, got easter coming up some time off and planning to try Budleigh Salterton and or Seaton

Cheers All
