| Greetings to all, I am a newcomer to this forum and have had great entertainment checking out the different posts. Very interesting reading, especially as I am not familiar with most of the fish species and techniques that I have read about!! - I look forward to learning more along the way - and possibly sharing about what fishing experiences our way are like. Until the next time, Wally |

| Re: Greetings from Sunny South Africa Hello & welcom Wally. From what I hear, you've got some lakes in So.A. that have been stocked w/ imported Kentucky Largemouth Bass. I seem to remember a Good'ol'boy took his fish'in show on the road to a resort...dont remember who or where tho, sorry. ![]() __________________ A bad day fishing is better than a good day working! | Re: Greetings from Sunny South Africa Hi Yes indeed, we have numerous dams (not lakes - as our dams are man made) that are stocked with many exotic fish. Some of our rivers are even stocked with imported trout - Rainbow and Browns especially. Our natural river systems have wonderful fish and a great variety as well. Many of them wonderful fighting species - especially on the large river systems like the Okavango, Kwando, Chobe and Zambezi in Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe - Ever heard of Tiger Fish?? - What a thrill to catch! Our sea fishing is also wondreful here in South Africa. cheers Wally |
