taffpop is on a distinguished road
Hello

Thought I'd introduce myself. I'm in Swansea and intend to fish around the Gower coast from now until......... No experience at all and I'm picking up what I can as I go along. I've got a spinning rod & reel and that's about it really. Practised a few home made rigs and am keen to get out there and experiment. Have any of you got any specific or general advice - particularly regarding tide types and species available. Easy marks would also be appreciated.

Cheers

Andy

Re: Hello

Hi Taffpop,

Welcome to the Forum.

I'm not from your part of the country so cannot offer any help.

Some one will answer in due course but possibly tomorrow as it is a bit late in the day.

Cheers

Drew

Re: Hello

Cheers for that. I caught a 3lb bass the weekend at llangennith, gower. First of many I hope - I was using clams as bait and the tide was at bottom. Pure luck - can you bring me up to date with tidet terms please (ebb? flow? neap?). Bit of a mystery at the moment. Thanks again.
