| Its been quite some time since..... .......My father took a pair of pliers, and made a hook from a pin, some seventy years infact. We lived in the fen land of Norfolk then near Wisbech, water flowed in the ditches along side of the road, some times two feet deep in the spring and one could catch stickle backs, hundreds of them. Since then I have fished the beaches of Brancaster, Burnham Overy, Yarmouth, Clovelly in Devon, the rivers of Newfoundland and the mighty Frazer in BC, But not all on that same hook Dad made me. | Re: Its been quite some time since..... Thanks Norfolk for your welcome. In answer to your question, the best fishing we had was at Burnham Overy, it was war time and the beaches were restricted to the public. Dad was a policeman then, which came in real handy. Best regards, Deepsix. |
