| Good Morning Forum Hi All, A quick intro and hello from Gravesend in Kent. I've just dusted off my beach gear after a two year break because of a shoulder injury and was intending to enter the Gravesend Beach Open today, but was unable to get to a bait shop during the week. I tried to dig some yesterday evening and ended up with 11 very small harbour rag so I didn't go. I like to fish open beaches and experiment with tying different rigs, my recent absence from the beach has resulted in a huge collection of rigs in my tackle box none of which have actually got wet ! In short I'm determined to make an assault on the beaches this year and hope to keep in touch with the hot news through the forum. I'd also like to attend some meets around the Kent/Sussex coast from some friendly banter and competition. I'm using Penn Viper, Shakespeare XK4000 and Daiwa Moonraker rods all with multiplier reels, although I might try a FS reel this year as they might be more forgiving if my shoulder gives me stick. That's it for now, hope to see some of you on the beach this year. __________________ Blessed are the Cheese Makers...... |

I haven't done any fishing recently, I fancy some Bass fishing but I believe they're quite scarce so I'll have to check this out. I don't want to fish for anything endangered. Really I'll be quite happy to fish for anything, I just like being on the beach with my rods. We have some good fishing in the South West of England but this is quite a trek for me (South East) so I'll probably have to settle for the normal beach/pier fare of Whiting, Pouting, Pollack, Flounder, Dabs, Mackerel, Cod (if there are any left), Wrasse, Sole etc etc. I'm not fussy. I can catch Flounder all day in the Thames estuary within 5 minutes of my house so that'll be a start. __________________ Blessed are the Cheese Makers...... |
