I don't understand, how you can't be fishing deep enough on a leger? Or did you mean float?

Rudd, tend to feed higher in the water, so the best thing to do is plumb the depth and fish on the bottom, or just off it (an inch or 2) You should start getting into some carp, tench etc..

You know what I meant, but caught nothing on the leger aswel! Yes i will plumb the depth on Sunday! Cheers Matt!

Luncheon meat aint a bad idea also mate, normally picks up most fish and is cheap as you like.
Either hair rig it on yer ledger rod or use smaller cubes on the float gear but watch it dont fly of on casting.
