| Re: newbie my main fishing for the last 40 years has been freshwater, only started sea fishing seriously last year, did some but more luck than judgement ruled the day, i had to put a similar link to yours, about sea rods myself, ended up buying the DAIWA SUPERCAST STS 13F (fixed spool model) of an auction site, paid just over £90 literally as new. bargains are there but patience in bidding is the answer. mrg on the other hand is more sea fishing, with lots of experience, he would probably be able to point you in the right direction, better than I. steve ( scottish and mental ) is also very knowledgeable regarding sea fishing gear. __________________ good luck and tight lines chris lifes to short for animosity. |

| Re: newbie nice one cheers chris, i've been trying to find a shake's k2 twin tip that someone else mentioned (sounded good for where i am) but there as rare as hens teeth, seems penn brought the blanks and renamed then affinity and sent them right out of my budget lol im just getting cheesed off with watching my rod bounce about every time the breeze picks up (but on the other hand i dont wanna go the other way and end up with a broom pole lol) it looks as if theres some kinna conspiracy going on here every rod i look for doesnt show up on the google machine, has anyone got any other suggestions, id prefer to buy a rod that someones had some experience with if poss (dont wanna pay the cash out for a dud n have another bouncy night on the beach __________________ 2012 so far codling, dab and whiting, good start |
