Newbie Hi, I'm Lloyd. I do all types of fishing, but none of them really well. I am now starting winter pike fishing. Can anybody suggest a decent, cheap carp/pike rod?

Re: Newbie Welcome along Lloyd, dont know much about carp/pike but i do own two Diawa Regal 2 3/4lb test curve carp rods which are great for flattie bashing. Paid £25 for the pair in mint condition which seemed a fair price to me. Seen a lot of anglers who use carp rods for dual purpose's whether it be spinning, float fishing or even light bassing. Sure some of the guys on here can advise you more on the carp/pike side of things. __________________ Steve 2012 Species:Bass,Huss,SS Sea Scorpion,3B/Shore Rockling,Launce,Mackerel,Sand Goby,Sand Smelt,Pollack, Coalie,Conger

Re: Newbie Where in South Wales ? If you are near Cardiff bay give Glamorgan anglers a call, I hear the pike in the bay are worth a go and this is a club that will be only too willing to help a starting pike angler out. __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk
