| New Member trying to ID a fish in Bermuda Hi guys! My names Ted, I've been into the whole fishing malarkee since I was a young 'un and my dad took me fishing at a river near my old home. Since then I've spent a lot of time near and on water. My ulterior motive to coming here was trying to ID a fish I saw a while back in Bermuda. Its a salt water fish that is mainly brown with brilliant green and purple bands. It has rounded fins, large eyes and looks like a real fish (its not an angel or flat fish) It's also between 2 1/2 to 3 feet long. It had a rounded "face" similar to a parrot fish. Please help me on this one if you can. Any help would be excellent guys :) |

| Re: New Member trying to ID a fish in Bermuda Guys, I'm genuinly blown away by the speed and wealth of responses. Sadly its neither the Sergeant Major (fond memories of feeding these while diving in Barbados) nor the Surfperch. It was way bigger than either of those, a minimum of 2 feet long it was. I'm gonna have a run through that ID list and see if I can come up with something from that. Again, thanks guys, if you've any more ideas I'll happily take them! ![]() |
