Hello from Urmston in Manchester

Hello everyone
I'm Dave from Urmston in Manchester and have been fishing for about 8 years now. I consider it more of an obsession than a passtime and try to get to the water 3 or 4 times a week.

If I had to describe what type of fishing I prefer I would have to say fishing for Pike on the canal system as you just never know what will turn up when you least expect it. I fish for Pike most of the year around Manchester though try to get further afield when work allows it. When I'm not chasing Pike, I like to fish the rivers for Barbel but am very happy with the lightest of tackle targeting Grayling and Trout or taking the kids hunting for Stone loach and tadpoles on the local brooks.

I'm looking forward to reading about your angling adventures and swapping Ideas and methods and hearing any recomendations for a great day out fishing. I recently started to post to a blog at urmstonangler.blogspot.com which follows my day to day fishing( blanking ).
