Did anyone remember the bait?....or

Hello!,
I was cruisin around looking for a casual fishing board when I found this one. Looked it over a while and decided this is a good place to shoot the breeze. One thing I definetly like here is the apparant absence of "elitists" I find them tedeious, boring and predictable....oh well. It looks like there are some really good down to earth regular guys here, so I'll stick around.

One of the things I really like about this site is the Brit participation. I was in England (Bedford) in the early '70s and have many fond memories of fishing the Ouse and area lakes (usually old quarries). I'll save the fishing stories for later though.

I am an avid fisherman who has put a hook into just about every kinda freshwater fish in N. America....except gar (could never get them to bite).
Until recently I lived in western Washington state and was a die hard salmon and steelhead fan. I now live in Nebraska and I'm going through withdrawal as the fishing here would have to improve to merely "suck"
Oh well I guess I will have to get used to driving for a few hours and buy out of state licenses.

On another topic, I was just searching for an English to English translator in order to understand the terminology used by UK residents. i have seen several fishing terms used that I didnt hear used in old days (30 yr.s ago). I guess its another case of "a people seperated by a common language" LOL
Is there a sticky covering this? or a FAQ section?
