Ive just started shore fishing and looking for some tips on Knots to use and casting thanks if you can help

what do you need the knot for??
some1 would really have to show you how to cast, start of gently getting the action right and once you can do that start increasing the power

something which always helped me was to think of it abit like bowling in cricket, with bowling you have to let go at 12 o'clock so you get the right distanc and height etc..
if you think about casting like this as well, trying to let go at the right point to get the right distance and height it might make things easier

Welcome to the Forum.

If you have a look at:

That knot will do for 98% of your fishing needs. Spend a couple of hours learning to tie it properly and it will be with you for the rest of your life.

There are others that you will learn as you start to fish with your friends all you have to do is ask.
