Greetings, from Puerto Rico!!! Greetings to all, just passing along to introduce myself. I'm quite new to fishing, i've gone out two times and it has me really intrigued. It's something i wanted to try a long time ago and got the chance...and boy, did i like it! I'm 16, from Yauco, a costal town from Puerto Rico. I'm mostly trying shore fishing in piers, hope to take it to better places and get bigger stuff, for now i've only caught pan fish xD but i hope to learn and instruct myself to make a better fisherman out of myself! Hope you have space for one more addicted fisher!!!

Re: Greetings, from Puerto Rico!!! Bienvenidos! Glad to have you here! Most of the guys here are British, there's a few Americans (myself included), several guys from Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia. Everybody is friendly and helpful, so it's a great place to be... Got questions? Just ask. Somebody can help! __________________ 2012 species: 13 All-time species: 65 New species caught in 2012: white sucker, popeye shiner, white shiner

Re: Greetings, from Puerto Rico!!! Thanks for the welcomes, i'm hoping to learn from here and start progressing bit by bit. For now i don't have much clue on what is meant to be done, i just throw the line on the water, pull it a bit and test my luck, but i hope to get the basics down then move on to specifications. I do want to know the most i can to improve my skills so i'm hoping to learn about lures, casting, and all of that!

Re: Greetings, from Puerto Rico!!! You're dealing with most of the same freshwater species as I am, and some of the same saltwater fish I have experience with. When you're ready to try lures, start with a jig. They're easy to use and catch everything! __________________ 2012 species: 13 All-time species: 65 New species caught in 2012: white sucker, popeye shiner, white shiner

Re: Greetings, from Puerto Rico!!! I'm mostly doing saltwater shore fishing but i go to the lake now and then with the girlfriend. For now, i'm aiming to catch lots of small panfish or a few good sized gamefish. Those are my standards hehe. Once i learn a bit more i'll start aiming for specific types of fish.
