| Back again after years away. Hi all after many years away from fishing, ive just got back into it in the 3-4 months, an have been going pretty much everyday, mainly sea fishing an river estury fishing, an have done some fresh water to in some ponds an lakes an done some fly to, as i love all sorts of fishing. Ive had some lovely bass so far, a couple just over 5lb an some round the 2 an half mark an some roundthe pound n half mark, an then the other night, i must of hit a shoal of schoolies, they was like gold fish size, i had them on mudrag, but the big ones i had on live sand eel, where i fish at mo they going mad for the live sand eel. Ive had some tidy mullet to in the marina an in the river to,an a few dogfish an whiting when fishing the pier. An had some salmon an trout to when fly fishing up further in river, an had some sewen (sea trout) in the marina on mudrag. I use two mitchell rods an two mitchell reels, an also have a shakespeare spin rod to an shakspeare reel to an a drop net, an for fly fishing i have a shakespeare fly rod an reel But now im wanting to have a try at carp fishing, i dont have a clue bout carp fishing ,as all ive ever known is sea, an course, so i dont know wot sort of package to get, ive seen some on ebay, for round the hundred pound mark, an you get rods n 3 reels, wich are carp max rods, an vigor reels, is that any good, or am i better off spending a littel bit more, as i dont have a clue bout carp fishing an all the bits an bobs,an also what does bait runner mean when it comes to reels. Like i say i been away for it for a good few years, an there seems to be so much new stuff, ive only done carp fishing once, when younger, with my uncle, an it was coycarp, an we used maggots, sweetcorn an bread, an we had loads on them. but i never tried boilies though, so some help on carp fishing would be appreishated. thanks. |
