 'lo all from the 'sunny' south coast. 'lo peeps. After a couple of "I'm just along for the ride" fishing trips, which of course ended up a bit more than that..... One was a major night fishing operation..   It seems (excuse pun) that I've become hooked! Well should really be re-hooked, as spent many a happy (younger) day fishing before. Looking to get myself some basic gear (Tips/Shops/Websites welcome), along with brushing up on some up to date local knowledge, and maybe even a meet or 2! Location: Portsmouth (Not very sunny at the mo, which explains title). Mainly looking at Pier (if there are any left available round here...) and beach fishing.     |

South Parade pier is still fishable and can be good for bass etc.. Try the Millenium pier at Gosport for a mixed bag .. Welcome along too  Theres a gang of us who fish from Southampton right along to Pagham and everywhere in between .. look out for posts and just tag a long ! Can see it clearly (Gosport that is), but my knowledge of the area is long past, along with my Grandad who first got my into fishing....  Walk/Bus'able from Ferry? Debating currently: Take the plunge and grab some basic gear and get it all going.... or... Rob/borrow a basic set-up from my mate and get my own later....  Daughter's B'day coming up... (She may well get something fishing related now! She may only be coming up for 3, but she wants to go Fishing with Daddy  )So funds may be limited soon (so I should really buy before I cry..) Have Monday off..... Watching weather forecasts closely, touch and go so far..... Tide time works, but will hold on to my 'Fair Weather' badge for a bit longer yet. |
