| Southampton - Returning to Fishing Hi All, After a break of quite a few years, I'm finally returning to sea fishing and looking forward to getting out there again. I grew up in Cornwall and fished from a young age up until a few years ago, some river but mainly sea. I bought a new beachcaster a couple of years ago for a holiday and then didn't really get back into it, until now. I live in Southampton and I'm looking to get out at the weekends but have no mates who fish. If there is anyone in the area who is out at weekends, I would massively appreciate a shout. I'm primarily looking at Magazine Lane or Lepe as primary places but, once I pick up a new car, I'll be getting further afield. A PM would be massively appreciated, I still remember most of what I learnt but I've got a lot to learn still. Looking forward to being an active member of the forum. Cheers Grim     |

| Re: Southampton - Returning to Fishing Thanks for the warm welcome, much appreciated. Cuckoo, let me know when and where and I'll be there. I've been reading up over the last few days and it's surprising how much I had forgotten. It's slowly coming back and getting out this weekend will be the acid test. My casting is OK still but I've not had a fish on the line in years (and may still not :-)). Once I get the new car sorted, I'll be heading out a lot, can't wait to get back into the swing of things.
