| hi, im new to fishing, and at the moment im using maggots as bait. they work ok, but im only catching tiddlers... can you recommend some good baits? its a small lake in wolverhmapton if that helps, ive seen a 6lb fish been caught there, an i catch small perch there too... any ideas would be great, thx!! |

Maggots( use a bunch on the hook not just one) worms sweet corn hemp pellets and boilies ,come in many flavours,shapes and sizes prawns muscles cockles luncheon meat bread. anything we can eat they will eat Most of the above will catch small and large fish alike. The bigger baits will riddle out the smaller fish but the bites wont be as frequent. you should think about location, try to imagine where the big fish will hang out.
