Returning to the Fold

Hello all,

I used to do a bit of sea fishing as a youngster, and the occasional bit of coarse fishing when on holiday, but haven't done any for a long while

I have recently moved near to the Gloucester - Sharpness Canal and see this as an opportunity to get back into fishing.

I take it any basic, float fishing starter kit will do to get me up and running?

Welcome! Yep, you can catch using that sort of gear. Might be worth a trip to your local tackle shop before you spend too much though. Rather than try and get gear to cover every eventuality it might be worth a more targetted strart. All the best!
