New to the forum! :)

Hi everyone

I'm new to this forum but have been fishing since last year now.

It all started when I was watching River Monsters and Robson Greens Extreme Fishing and was immediatly intruiged by the fish they brought up and it looked pretty fun so, last June, in France, I was in a hunting shop and picked myself up a nice Daiwa pike rod and reel for a whole 27 Euros.

I came back to England, got my licences ect.. and was straight out on the banks of the local rivers catching small Perch and Skimmers. It was until a few months later did I start reading tactics of catching certain fish and caught my first barbel on my local canal. At 3 pounds it was quite a shock compared to the small fish I was bringing out earlier! Since then I have enjoyed fishing meanders for Chub and such and feel I have made quick progress with my fishing and I hope to continue catching bigger and better fish!
