Hi everyone.....Im steve, living in the highlands of Scotland.
I have just set up a group forum for those wanting to discuss fishing in the Highlands...................tight lines

Hi Squirrel.
I admit the sheep thing took place, but i wasn't there at the time. I was downtiding in the pentland firth after cod............... and im English.
Spend alot of time in the Ullapool area spinning and out from Scrabster on boats, hoping to get out tomorrow but the weather is not looking good, 30/40 mph winds and 15ft swells. pairs comp so i hope to get out.
What kind of fishing are you in to pete.???

If I`m perfectly honest, anything to do with fly fishing and tying, but I do like the occasional sea and coarse outings too. mostly the Firth of Clyde and down the West Coast and a few lochs and local canal for coarse. Hope the weather calms down for you and good luck if it does.

Well fishing got cancelled at 7pm last night. high winds and big swells called of the meet.
Oh well .... but ive decieded to wait for high tide today 5pm and walk down the bottom of my land to see if any mackeral are in, still heavy winds but i will throw out a 28g and see what happens.

Wanting the better weather to arrive as i think the area i fish MUST have flatties there, but i have never fished for them, all i ever try is spinning.

Has any body out there tried fishing in "little loch broom" for flatties.????
