Hi all my name is Chris new to this site and a newbeginner finding my way in sea angling ,Im looking for good marks that are catching fish in and around the newquay area or in about a 20mile radius of that at the moment any tips be gratefully recieved ....thanks

Hi Chris ..welcome to the forum

Plenty of good marks around Newquay , most of the headlands produce wrasse to float fished or legered worm & hardback crab baits ,stick to crabs for the larger Ballens ,some decent pollock to be had also.Flatties in the Gannel estuary ,also Bass ,as the tide floods up the estuary.Bass on all the surf beaches ,usually hunting in the surf around the 3 breaker. Night fishing at the "fly cellers" next to the harbour can produce dogs .huss and congers. Day time on the harbour ,mackerel and garfish on float gear . Mullet hang around the sewer outlet on Towan head , float fish bread flake in the outlet slick.
