HELP!!!!! Urgent advice needed .

I am going on holiday to Cornwall in 2 weeks and have just been informed by my wife that I will be taking my 11 year old son fishing whilst we are there. She is under the impression that because I have been coarse fishing (but not for 15 years or more!) that I will be able to use my coarse gear for sea fishing and that I am now the font of all sea fishing knowledge. I have been given two sea rods and reels which will do but I don't know anything about rigs, baits etc. Where we are staying offers beach and harbour fishing (if there is a difference!) so we can both cast and just drop a line over the wall but I dont know how to set up the hooks and bait HELP!!!!!!!!!!! If anyone could explain which rig I will need and how to tie them I would be most grateful. Any ideas?

fishing off the bottom is simple ledger fishing
simplest rig is this
Pennel Rig sea fishing rig
or pop to a local tackle shop and buy some simple paternoster rigs

as for bait chunks of mackeral, or ragworm

you can also floatfish ( same as course fishing just bigger floats) if calm enough with smaller hooks, say size 1 and mackeral strips for the mackeral
