Re: what equiptment to buy?

firstly heres a link to the licence, you will need the full coarse license http://www2.postoffice.co.uk/counter...ce/buy-licence

Before you buy anything you need to decide what species you would like to target and what waters you intend to fish but £200 is plenty to get you started

Re: what equiptment to buy?

A good starting point is your local tackle shop, they should give you most of the infomation you need. they will be able to steer you in the right direction. secondly look for some local clubs, normally the local tackle shop will know of the clubs. I would avoid a match club/group to start with as they will be the more experienced anglers try to join a general coarse club.
Thirdly go to the venues you want to fish and have a chat to anglers fishing, as long as your to load most anglers will tell you what they are doing, another good way to learn is to find a mentor, someone who is willing to teach you your watercraft. When i started i went to my local shop and introduced my self to the local anglers who were very happy to teach me.

i hope you enjoy your future with fishing

Regards, Steve
