Newbie Needing Help!

Hi folks,

Joined today. Not a big fisher, but it's something I have done and enjoyed on holiday and thought I might do all year round.

Now here's the thing ... I think some of the 'purists' will probably read this and go 'Pffffft!' but here goes ...

We've been on holiday to Yorkshire several times voer the past few years and have always managed to pitch up in Pickering, where there is a small but friendly trout lake. They will hire you the rods and other basic equipment and, if float fishing, you pay for what you catch. No permits required. Oh and they also gut the fish for you.

Now, I would love to find a place in the Merseyside/Cheshire/Lancashire area that is similar. Does anyone have any recommendations? I would be very grateful.

Welcome to the forum ,try poping your question in a new post in the freshwater or fly fishing forums , more peeps likely to see it there....
