hi everyone my name is jay im 27 and im from norfolk (10min drive from norwich)

ive just started getting into fishing scene.I dont no a lot about it to be fair which is why i had a look around at a few sites and came across this so though id register

ive recently bought all my friends fishing gear off him as he has decided he didnt want to fish anymore .So i bought all his gear off him.

The down side to it is he wont tell me anything or show me what is needed to do.

ive still got to have a good look around the site but is there any links on how you make rigs (ive got all the equipment to do this he just wont show me

and how you tie you hooks and your rigs to the line etc etc.

if there is anyone on here from norfolk that would be able to put me in the right direction theres a beer or two in it for you lol

and any good places around the norwich area would be a bonus aswell

I mainly want to get into carp fishing really

Hello Jay. Seems rather odd that your friend won't tell you anything. Sour grapes?

For now you might want to consider getting some ready made hair rigs. Learn how to tie a loop knot, a knotless knot and a grinner knot and you will be able to copy and make your own.

yer i no i dont think its is so much he doesnt want to fish anymore.But he has just had a kid and i reckon he didnt really want to sell the fishing gear myself. but he's got no job and needed the money so hes prob in a snot about having to sell the gear lol

is there any links on here on how to do the knots and where is the best place to buy ready made rigs??

i have got some already which was included with the gear in a rig wallet aswell as some more in my tackle box.

the main thing i am a bit unsure about is how to tie the hooks to the line aswell as your rigs aswell as making your own rigs.

and stuff like pva bags/mesh etc etc

(knowin my luck it will prob come all off lol)

id rather be put in the right direction by some one that knows what there doing rather then doing it myself and loseing my tackle each time lol
