Wanna say hello. I stopped fishing awhile ago but got the bug again, and have been taking out my 17 year old grandson, who seems to enjoy it as much as I do. I haven't introduced him to fly fishing yet. (I've been away from it for so long I have to reacquaint myself before the spring.) I went out to Hackle barney State Park a few weeks ago with some ultra light tackle, and had some luck, though I learned that I'm really missing a wading stick. Did you know that cell phone in your pocket stops working after you fall into the river? Technology just hasn't kept up with the sport of fishing.

Hi Jake, welcome aboard. Unfortunately I know at first hand, the difficult relationship between phone and water, I`ve ruined 3 of them.. Nice to have another (potential)fly fisher on the forum, we`re few and far between. There`s a great bunch of guys on here no matter what their style of fishing. Look forward to hearing of your outings.
