for a start the weather isnt looking too clever mate ..by newcomers , how erm new are you all lol ? totally new to fishing or just to beach fishing ? there are various marks that can be fished in and around Weymouth - the harbour, old stone pier, portland harbour and chesil are all good venues .. visit the tackle shop on the harbour (Weymouth angling center 01305 777771) and talk to richard or mark - they will advise you on bait and local marks plus catch reports .. there are mackerel and scad plus garfish still coming off chesil bank to feathers and all of the above plus pollack and bass plus silvers eels from the pier end of town.. if yo uneed more info on a specific area just shout Steve __________________ Shore Species 2012: Dab-Flounder-Herring-L.S.Dogfish-Pouting-Shore Rockling-5 Bearded Rockling-Small Eyed Ray-Turbot-Whiting |

| Re: Help Steve, We have been boat fishing several times, plus coarse fishing, it's probably 15 years since I last fished from the beach (East coast, Southend, Clacton etc) I,m guessing that the Weymouth is nothing like these areas. Thanks for the info anyway. We can only do our best. ![]() ![]() |
