hello all.
I was mad keen on fishing when i was a kid but the interest just petered out about 25 yrs ago. Ive been into canoeing for a while now and am always up the lake district.
It was whilst paddling that i thought how nice it would be to have a few hours fishing whilst im out. So here i am, licence is on its way, ( they were about £2 when i last had one ! ), and am looking at some basic tackle, but there is so much to choose from.
Im looking at fishing from the boat so have been looking at at the Shimano range of travel rods. I was thinking of simple lure rigs that i would either cast and then hold the rod or casting and then securing the rod whilst i padle along. Would i need a bait running reel for this ?
Any advice would be greatly recieved
