Ok, i found a £2 set of rods from Lidl bit tackie but i imagine with the proper knowledge of catching fish should be reasonable.

My questions come in where is the best place to fish in October/winter in England?

What are the best fishing websites and shops for gear and what gear is absolutely essential(besides a cold Beer) to keep you going for 8 hours or so?

It might help if you tell people whether you plan to go sea fishing or freshwater, and are a bit more specific as to your location.

As with most things in life it seems that trial and error is the best way to learn, and have a good look through the threads on this site and you will learn a lot.

Be specific with any questions, and don't be afraid to ask the obvious.

I have found people to be really helpful on this site.
