hi guys, any1 want to share information about the river foss near york, went down today and had 2 chub about 4lb. its a small river and i never see anybody else fishing it. but there is some cracking chub,pike,perch and roach in there. when its shallow you can see the chub quite clearly. brilliant for floating bread.... let me know cheers

Never fished the Foss but had some cracking chub out of the Wharfe near Tadcaster! PB of just short of 7lb a couple of years ago caught on best steak free-lined. It took some landing on 4lb line and my heart still quickens when I think about it.
