New to fishing in Warsash area

Hi All,

I am just starting to get into fishing, keen on fresh water fishing but also have no objection to sea fishing either. Just starting out with putting together a basic setup that I can use for most stuff.

My brother fishes quite a bit and have just noticed he is a member on here (Ben). So have had some advice from him and also borrowed some of his kit but he is a bit out of the loop when it comes to fresh water fishing so looking for so kit and rig advice along with any other hints at tips you can give. Any good locations in the Warsash area would be great as well.

I see Ben got the lions share of brains
we have no objection to puddle chucking on here but i cant help wondering why on earth you wouldnt prefer to stink of crab and sit on town quay all night !
