| Getting back into freshwater fishing... It's been a long time since i went freshwater fishing, far too long. But all is about to change, i got my fishing license last week and i'm off somewhere, anywhere, tomorrow to spend the day by the water. I can't afford to go spending money on day tickets, well, not very often anyway, so i will be looking for stretches of river in the Suffolk area. I'm living in Felixstowe now, but grew up around the Wickham Market area of Suffolk. Pike fishing was my main passion, although i would catch perch, roach, rudd and eels. And as a boy i spent most of my time fishing the rivers, and the only chance i got to do any kind of carp fishing was when the sun set, if you know what i mean. But i'm getting too old to be crawling through hedges and running from gamekeepers now. Anyway...i do tend to waffle on a bit so i'll shut up for now. I look forward to reading what others have to say, and i guess a suitable saying would be "i'll catch you later". |
