Hi Folks

Hi Folks

I used to fish a heck of a lot in my youth, then late teens/early 20s brought a stop to that, with Universty, marriage, kids etc etc.

Now in my 30s with a 6 and 8 year old boy, I have dusted off the kit again and rekindling the passion.

I grew up on the Glos Canal, yet these days Saul Junction is a tourist attraction and the Hempstead Bend has gone .

I got into the club for Woodchester Park this year, and have been having a go for the big carp, but the pull for match/general course is greater.

Have been taking the older lad to the Pig Farm last few weeks. He can pull in Roach/Skimmers/Rudd as quick as he can get a bait in the water. Been catching a few carp too.

Interested in what the local lads on here are up to.

Whats the state of play on the GS canal now? Is it pay on the bank day ticket? Where are the fish?

Any advice on where to go local would be great.

Cheers
Russ

Re: Hi Folks

Thanks Nick

Actually lived in N Wales for 3 years, in Bangor. Some amazing countryside up that way. Didnt fish at all. I believe all the freshwater stuff is after the trout??

Cheers
Russ
