Hi New to fishing

Hi This is my first post so a big hi to you all
I don't fish at the moment and know nothing about it
I'm just interred in fishing for food and food only rely
The cheapest equipment possible really for catching as much fish in as little time as possible
I was wondering what kind of equipment would be best to start off with i.e. rod or net

If anyone manages to give you this info can you please pass it on to me and i'll sell the 2 grands worth of kit i have and stop spending my every spare minute on the beach..
I think what your actually looking for is Tescos my friend.....you aint gonna catch enough fish for the table with a branch and bent pin - so unless you live in an estuary and want to net it and check it every day you might actually have to do the same as the rest of us simpletons and actually put in far too much money and way too much effort

nothing wrong with it if you stick to the rules of what your aloud to take. and get licences and pay for club/day tickets.

Do you mean by that putting a net out and weighting for the fish to come in and then coming back later to pick the net up?

not in the sea Dave , however i have a feeling this guy aint out as a fisherman - i wouldnt like to comment on his understanding of our sport... and
