| Re: Newbie Hey Get some fresh ragworm by either digging or from the tackle shop and some size 1/0 hooks and fish on the bottom for a variety of summer species with best catches coming at night - troll through the catch reports and see what is being caught locally and on what bait but rag, squid and peeler are all top summer baits as well as fresh mackerel if you get any feathering ! | Re: Newbie Hey If you are using 4 hook feather rigs its always worth sticking half a rag or thumbnail sized piece of mackerel on the hooks and casting them out to sit on the bottom...bream , pollack and bass will snaffle them and it save tying any complicated rigs Steve __________________ Shore Species 2012: Dab-Flounder-Herring-L.S.Dogfish-Pouting-Shore Rockling-5 Bearded Rockling-Small Eyed Ray-Turbot-Whiting |
