hello everyone im marc i live near the south coast,am new to this just got meself a couple of (salt) flattie rods ,have a couple of reals aswell but not sure what streghth line to put on them to fish the chesil any ideas??? thanks for your help

15 lb mono and a 60lb shockleader for chesil - 5 oz weights for most tides and for the mackerel - rods need to be atleast 12' to cast comfortably - not sure what length the flattie rods are but they will be fine for inside portland harbour or any of the eastuaries
