New Member says hello!

Found this site today and think it is great -l have just moved down to Cornwall and have taken up fishing again, after a break of around 20 years -yeah, i know, shameful :)
Used to be into coarse fishing with the old man, now wish to learn sea fishing -i have already managed a few trips (Portreath, Porthleven, Mousehole and nr. Basset's cove) but all I am catching is seaweed!!! Anyway, they have been great days out. I am very interested in fishing off rocks in hard to get to places (ex mountaineer -scrambling dies hard) and I am hoping to meet others that may be up for the same. I have only tried float rigs so far...

anyway, thought I would say hello -thinking of going fishing tomorrow -cannot decide whether Porthleven or the rocks again...

Thanks for the warm welcome -I have wanted to fish off the pier at Newlyn but assumed it was out of bounds-is that not the case?

You can deffo fish the pier at Newlyn mate..better in the evening tho when its not so busy ...you can get a decent session along the front at Marazion or head over to Rinsey for some huge wrasse off the ledges...Perranuthnoe has Bass and fish along the front at Hayle for a good chance of a real biggie..
I will be down on Monday to do some work for the outlaws so might even take my rods

The corn exchange might just win it though
