 Newbie Evening all,just to say hello, I"m a new member from Bury lancs. I did some fly fishing back in the far off days of 1980,I"m now semi-retired and have just bought some new gear,rod,reel,lines etc,and found my old box of flies(round50 in all)Itching to get out and see if I can still cast,think its prob like riding a bike and should soon pick it up again.I like the idea of river fishing,so you get a walk as well.Looked at the Wharfe,bolton abbey area,£300pa.But wouldnt mind trying somewhere a bit nearer home first.Anyone in my area got any suggestions or would be prepared for me to tag along on one of their days out.I"ve heard a rumour that theres trout in my local river Irwell,which was until a few years ago polluted.Anyone know this river.Weathers warming up nicely now cheers guys.     |
