 New guy not catching Fish Hi to all Have been Fishing for around five years and have a pretty poor catch record I live in London but travel to Littlehampton on the south coast a lot which is where i do my fishing. I have been mainly fishing from the river mouth at West beach but have more recently been trying my luck from the beeches. I seem to catch about 1 time out of 4 and have basically stuck to the same method for years. All of my catches have been small and sometimes i am not even sure what i have caught. this is pretty poor for someone who has been doing this for this long. Thankfully i have found this forum and at last i can try and find out what i am or am not doing wrong. The local fishing shops have been helpful with locations in the area and what fish are around but as yet this has not helped me much. I look forward to hearing from anyone who may be able to give me some advice CHEERS  Dave     |

| Re: New guy not catching Fish Welcome aboard Dave!  What rig do you normally use. What bait do you use. What size hooks do you use. What lb line and weight do you use? Those answers would help. See if you can tap into that mate if it's not too far away from you. As for fishing the Thames mate I couldnt help at this stage but there are a few on here that will im sure.
