New Member (with a question re The Quays).

Just a quick hello to say hello and see if anyone is living in or around the Frimley area and to see if I can get any help with a question I have?

I stumbled across this forum as I was searching for info on a lake nearby at a public house called The Quays, in Mytchett, Surrey.

There is a post on this site with lots of photos which look brilliant, and its from a day out pike fishing a couple of years ago. One of the forum members has posted a bit of info about a day out and Id really like to find out more.

Anyway thats about that! So hello, and if anyone can help Id really like to hear from you.

hello mate welcome to the forum
i was one of the guys that fished the quays,it was a pike anglers club organised event,
its a relatively shallow lake with easy access ,it is a venue that is used constantly for water skiing ,the high powered boats shooting around create quite a wash,
i did hear it was a good water for carp and tench in the summer but i have no idea who controls the fishing,

the quays is a syndicate,if you get caught your gear will be confiscated and you will be nicked for poaching.


the lake is not shallow,its 25 feet deep in places,you were probabley fishing on the ledges.
