| About time I joined in! Good evening all, just thought I would introduce myself. I have fished since I was 6 and am now 50+, spent over 22 years travelling the world in the army and had some of the best river fishing during my time in Germany back in the 70s/80s on the river Weser, Rhine, Aller and numerous stillwaters. Now resident in Oxfordshire (although I come from Devon) and am surrounded by excellent waters. Occassional beach caster/boat fisher but mainly the rivers Cherwell and Thames for the winter Chub and big Roach that abound. Summer Tench and Carp and, infact, any fishing is good by me. I will start sending in reports of my successes (a few) and failures (many) but win or loose, have a booze as my old mate Pat Kielly used to say!!  Tight lines, Keith     |

Welcome along sir, I too spent many a day back in the 80's fishing the Rhine and the Havel lake in Berlin but then the battalion moved to N.Ireland where the sea fishing bug took over and i've never looked back since !
