Lancs based newby here

Hi all,

I'm a newby based in Lancs - near Wigan. I loved sea fishing when I was a kid, but hadn't fished for 30+ years until my little boy (who's 6) wanted to go fishing from a pier on holiday up in Ayr. Not sure who's the most obsessed now.

Just bought a couple of cheap beachcasters to do some shore fishing - would love to take him out on a boat trip, but unlikely to persuade the wife just yet! If we get serious then we'll upgrade the tackle, if not, well there's always something to do on a holiday.

Just tried my hadn at tying some rigs. A couple of 2 hook paternosters, which I'm dead chuffed with, cos I couldnt tell which one was mine and which was from teh shop when I got them out again later (until i remebered which colur the trace I used was!)

Anyway, hope to meet you all one day (either virtually, or on a session somewhere), so tight lines all:-)
