Hi mate, I'm from Hartlepool too, but have been in exile in the south for 20 years. Looking forward to hearing how it's fishing up there.

not fish too well up here
Mainly whitting small stuff.
i don't think anybody is doing to well here. the sea has been dead flat calm for the neck on of a week now.

hi im new to this forum too and like you live near hartlepool well houghton le spring but have a caravan at crimdon dene so look to be doing my fishing in that area, mostley on the shore though hope it gets better

It's very poor fishing at the moment a few scattered whiting about.
You do here of the odd bigger fish but seldom.
Things will start to get better in the area soon.

Crimdon is a great beach and along to Blackhall Rocks too. I fished it as a teenager and it produced cod, whiting and some flatties. Brings back memories of fishing with spark plugs for weights and sharpening hooks on the rocks! Whenever I go home for a visit I always love to walk the beach up there.

yeh i know what you meen spark plugs are too expensive now so we use old nuts and bolts ha ha
