Hello from South Derbyshire

Hey guys,

Im Dan, 23 years old from Swadlincote in Derbyshire. I am new to fishing. I have only been once, and my first ever fish was a Gudgeon lol. I am looking to get into some serious fishing eventually, but at the moment I am just looking forward to getting out on the water, and trying various methods.

I have bought myself a power top 2 by polemaster, with a nice pink elastic. I also have a standard waggler rod, and a feeder too. All of these items were given to me, by a family member who has no further need for them. Unfortunately this member of family lives about 300 miles away in Dunfermline, lol, so its not like I can get help from him.

Anyways, I am looking forward to the Autumn run, and I really want to nail down some serious hours, to kick start next season in style.

Even though I live in the heart of England, I would love to do some Sea Fishing, as the variance in fish is what trully interests me and I would like to get hold of some gear eventually, and if anyone can point me in the right direction for what I need to get me going I would be most grateful. Be nice to get out for the occasional weekend, by the sea. Wife and Son can tag along, and walk around and stay in a hotel and stuff while they wait for me. So its an added bonus for sure.

Of course I am in no hurry to get this gear, so I can collect it over time.

Hey guys,

I am going on my first proper session this weekend (Sunday) to Beehive Farm in Rosliston. Has anyone ever fished there before? If so, any tips?
