| Re: not really #1 Hi mate. Not sure about BC, but the are several members from the "other side of the pond". Woodsman is from (admittedly the other side of) Canada and OmahaYank, is from well, erm, Omaha (Ok, I guess that's a looong way south of you and in a different country! ), but the point is you don't need to be local to get something out of the site. I guarentee you there's something you can learn from the forum, no matter what your type of fishing, experience level or location.Welcome to the site! Looking forward to hearing about your fishing.Rich. ![]() __________________ Right then, checklist: Rods. Check. Reels. Check. Speckled Hen. Check. Bait…… BAIT! Sh*t, where’s the bait? |

| Re: not really #1 Picked up 2 "bows today. One was 2lbs.,the other tipped scale just over 5 lbs! Good size fish for this time of year. Our lakes tend to warm up to the point the fish stay deep and not too active. It takes trolling right in front of their nose to get a strike. Also, with them being deep they tend to have a muddy taste so I practice catch and release till October. Should be getting a camera in the next few weeks and will post some pictures of fishing here. that is if anyone's interested. |

| Re: not really #1 Well done WN1. Sounds like a couple of good fish to me. ![]() Love to see the lures and tackle you use. When does the Sockeye fishing start? I've seen a few programes on TV about fly fishing for Sockeye. That looks like real good fun. __________________ Right then, checklist: Rods. Check. Reels. Check. Speckled Hen. Check. Bait…… BAIT!
