| Hi All, Just joined, I am spending a week for the first time on Hayling island in September, novice fishing woman would like to go out on boat to do some sea fishing, but only have a very light rod, what would you advise? Jody ![]() |

| Re: fishing on hayling island Most boat skippers will have the most suitable tackle for you to use, they may charge a little extra, but it will be the rigt gear for the fish you're after. Is the boat you're going on out of Hayling called Trio? Very good skipper and crew. |

| Re: fishing on hayling island If you only have a light rod go to portsmouth and fish around southsea but you really need a beachcaster for hayling . If you don't then fish around high tide with a heavy spinner or feathers and see if a there are any fish close in. There is a good tackle shop Mannings next to the beach at Eastoke and widley . __________________ I fish there fore I am. |
