| Hello from Switzerland Hi there, just joined in here. I am a pier fisher on the lake Geneva and was wondering if anyone here could help me out? I am using a Mepps Aglia 1 spoon for perch fishing, and although I have had some success in hooking pan fry sized perch, i would like to know if there is any way I can add a sinker or weight to my spoon rig so that I can make longer casts? Currently my best casts only go as far as 15-20 yards max. Will adding a bit of weight before the spoon spoil the action of the spoon? Am I better off purchasing a weighted spoon which will presumably be tested for balance and action? Any help much appreciated. |
