| newbie hi all, im a carp angler and love it too! havent bin out as much as i would like but am going to hopefully fish tirley soon for the first time for a bit of a confidence boost! any tips on where to start and what tactics to get me going, noticed theres a few of u guys on here that fish there so any help would be great! cheers and tight lines as they say! lol     |

| Re: newbie Welcome to the forum mate. I persume you are from shurdington by cheltenham? Do you fish many waters around here apart from tirley. | Re: newbie thanks mate, yer the village in chelt, where are you from then? yer i fish the local lake on leckhampton lane called burley fields also known as crippets, used to be a great lake for a fish off the top but they've banned floating baits now so bit of a bummer!! cos i love surface fishing! its got loads of carp but literally thousands of silver fish and way to many bream for my liking which is annoying! but not a bad lake for a local. i also fish a lake in bourton for a nice easy day now and again theres nothin big in there, my biggest from there is about 15. but ive had 50 carp in one day off the top which is pretty good! also im a member of a south cerney club which is only 50 quid a year but is pretty difficult! my most recent session was also on the linear complex in oxford which i fish now and again but also at times is quite tricky! sometimes i can fish the week depending on work, sure we could arrange somthing. god ive wrote alot! lol.  |
