I just joined the Fishing Forum. Bit late, but than... Fishing for northern pike and perch is what I like to do best, both at home as well as abroad, e.g. Sweden. I am an founding and active member of the Predator Fishing Committee of the The Hague Angling Association. We invest a lot of time in fishing for predators, looking for possible hotspots, and teaching (by example) how to fish in good decent tradition with no unneccessary harm done to the fish, as self-respecting hunters do in my opinion. Am happily married with fantastic and beautiful Malaysian lady and travelling quite often to both East Malaysia (Sarawak) and West Malaysia. Would like to figure out where and how to fish for snakeheads (toman) or other indigenous Asian species when I'm over there. Contacts, addresses, etc. on how to quickly arrrange trips would be welcome too since my time is always (too) short.

lol snakeheads are a nightmare atm, unless ur looking at a red (which i think is most common there) they r pretty easy to catch.

tbh i keep snakehaeds lol so i dont want to encourage it but apparently they taste VERY good.

i MAY be able to get you some contacts if u give me today, il work on it now for u.

for just fishing, this is what one person said:

I suggest topwater jerk baits and other baits that cause a lot of commotion on the surface. I would also guess live baits work just as well. Never been there but I have friends that have and they told me that this slays the fish there.

Hi Ellie01, appreciate your swift reply. Am not too concerned about what to fish with (lures) and your suggestions were good I reckon. It's the contacts to arrange things smoothly that I am after. As you said - if you can get me some contacts I will pursue those for sure. Thanks and aloha...

yea im just waiting for ppl to get back to me lol. i belong to a fishkeeping forum and loads of ppl there are from malaysia and i KNOW they have contacts lol ...just waiting for them to wake up i spose lol
